The Dogs That Rescued Me

Hi! I am Claire. I live in a cabin in the mountains of North Georgia with my husband Ben and our five dogs. I have spent most of my career working in the behavioral health care field, primarily doing psych evals (which I actually loved). I am now a licensed Realtor in Georgia and have four nutrition certifications from AFPA.
However, my passions include hypnotherapy, helping others organize, writing, and--big surprise--dogs! I was a pet rescue volunteer for many years. I grew up on a small country farm and got my love for animals from my mother. I love sharing and hearing stories about all pets. As you read my stories, I hope you will be inspired to share yours with me to publish here so others can enjoy them, too! ❤️🐾🐾
Black Jack is an Imperial Shih Tzu—a cutie patootie
Bella is a fun-loving, adventurous Cairn Terrier mix rescue
Luna is a Cairn Terrier-Chihuahua mix rescue—quirky and neurotic but oh-so-lovable
Stella Nova is a sassy Poodle-Shih Tzu mix rescue who joined us after a rough road in life that left her without eyes but with an amazing spirit
Oscar is a Yorkie--a senior who is blind, toothless, and incontinent, but who is also very intelligent, loving, and cute as can be

I hope that you will share your pet stories and photos with me for everyone else to read. Regardless of what type of pet you have, from a hermit crab to a horse, their stories are welcome here. Paws are not a requirement; neither do they have to be rescued. Sometimes pets rescue us, regardless of how we acquired them. Come join me on this journey.
